We have qualified and competent staff working 24/7 to accommodate our clients’ needs in all NDE disciplines for both in-house and field locations. All of our staff is certified through ASNT (American Society for Non-Destructive Testing) and the CGSB (Canadian General Standards Board).
Quality, Safety and Service are our top priorities. We adhere to the following codes and standards to ensure we do the job right and do it well; ASME Section V (ABSA Compliant RT, UT, MT, PT) ASME B31.1 and B31.3, AWS D1.1, NACE MR 0175,CSA Z662 and W59, and API Standards.
In-House or On-Site
We have 3 RT exposure bays with 1 bay large enough to support a 30 ft. trailer with enclosure. The large exposure bay will fit small vessels and large diameter piping. Reports are generated upon viewing and emailed directly with hard copies to follow, thus material evaluation is passed to the customer at the earliest possible time.
Many of our NDE services are portable meaning we can bring our services right to your field location to accommodate our clients’ needs.
Film quality and evaluation is paramount. In order to achieve the best results, film developing is primarily done through automatic processors allowing for a more consistent film quality. Film interpretation and development is done in a more controlled environment than conventional manual processing and viewing methods.
Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) Services
Radiography is a highly portable NDE method to detect surface and subsurface discontinuities with excellent record retention.
Radiography is the utilization of electromagnetic energy or radiation from X-Rays or Gamma Rays to create a radiographic image on film and is an excellent way to inspect pressure vessels, process piping welds and valves in large volumes.
Radiographic Film Digitization
In addition to traditional film used in radiography we offer film digitization, which is a fast and easy way to maintain radiographic records long term with minimal space required. We currently utilize the Vidar NDT Pro, which meets all standards for ISO 14096 Class DS and ASME Section V.
We are able to digitize both new and existing radiography results, allowing you to access your radiography results quickly and efficiently, without requiring any physical storage space as they would be stored digitally. Film digitization also provides you with the ability to transfer data globally, for either storage reasons or to any party that may have interest in reviewing records.
Magnetic Partical Inspection (MT)
Magnetic Particle Inspection Is a highly portable NDE method to detect primarily surface and some slight subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as carbon steel. Magnetic particle inspection is the introduction of a magnetic field into a material and can be magnetized by direct or indirect magnetization through either AC or DC current. Magnetic particle inspection is an excellent way to inspect new or in-service welding, piping, structural components and pressure vessels.
Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT)
Liquid Penetrant Inspection is a highly portable NDE method used to detect surface breaking discontinuities such as fatigue cracks, porosity etc… in any non-porous materials such as metal, plastics and ceramics. Liquid Penetrant Inspection is a great option when magnetic Particle Inspection cannot be applied.
Positive Material Identification (PMI) Or X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF)
Positive Material Identification (PMI) is a highly portable NDE method used to provide precise chemical and elemental analysis of alloy materials. Ensure your product specifications are met and proper materials have been utilized in the completion of your product.
Ferrite Content Testing (FT)
Ferrite Content Testing is a highly portable NDE method used to determine the ferrite content in Austenitic and Duplex Steel. Ferrite Testing is a fast and effective way to test a wide variety of weldments, castings, forgings, piping and base materials that require high corrosion and acid resistance for your specific requirements in both Ferrite Number (FN) and % Ferrite.
Portable Hardness Testing (HT)
Hardness Testing is a highly portable NDE method used to determine a materials specific mechanical hardness value. Depending on your requirements and the material being tested a wide variety of equipment is offered to fit your key needs from standard Telebrinell, Rebound Hardness Testing and Ultrasonic Contact Impedance (UCI) Testing.
